Meet the Board

Salam everyone! This year’s board is working towards making MSA as active and engaging as possible! We look forward to seeing you all!

Yahya Alshanti

4th year Bioengineering Major

Salaam! I am so excited to be your VP for this year! In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, and watching K-Dramas, but mostly I love eating Hyderabadi Biryani and telling everyone about it. My goal is to allow the MSA this year to be a space for all to connect with each other and find comfort within our Muslim community.

Vice President
Khadija Ahmed

3rd year Biology Major

Assalamu ‘Alaikum y’all. Inshaa’Allah, I hope this year we as the MSA board can do everything in our power to provide what is best for all of you. Other than being an active board member in the MSA, I enjoy writing, baking, playing Pokemon, and trying to stay as productive as possible.

Hafsah Mirza

4th year Math Major

My goal for this year is to make a positive impact on as many people as I can. Here are some fun facts about me: I was born at a very young age in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of my life in California, I have 7 pet fish and 1 pet cat, and in every MSA I have ever been in, I was the treasurer at some point.

I really like hiking, biking, and playing soccer, and my favorite foods are basically anything with potatoes! I love the MSA community, and I hope to provide everyone with a welcoming space to ensure that our community stays strong this year!

I want to make our MSA a space for Muslim students to stay connected and interact in an online environment!

Brothers’ Coordinator
Zain Khan

2nd year Mechanical Engineering Major

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, whether it’s binge watching Harry Potter together, trying out new restaurants, or just grabbing coffee. As sister’s coordinator, I’m responsible for facilitating sister halaqas, socials, and housing. I hope to bring a fun and supportive environment for Muslim sisters to communicate, engage, and learn from.
